Augusta Christian Schools Senior Martha Kate Jenkins is representing ACS in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year Campaign. Students of the Year is a 7-week philanthropic competition for high school leaders seeking to make an impact in the fight against blood cancers.
In her own words - "I am beyond excited to work with my team, “Lions with CUREage”, to join in the fight against blood cancers.
Blood cancer has impacted me personally by taking the life of one of the most influential people in my life, Dr. David “Pop” Ruehle. Mr. David was not only my “adopted Grandpa”, but he was the one who showed me my true passion in life, Veterinary Medicine. However, thanks to research and access to better treatment, survival rates for blood cancer are on the rise. I know that with your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers.
My fundraising goal is to raise $20,000, between January 23rd and March 13th, but I cannot achieve my goal alone. This is where you all come in…"
$10.00 from each shirt sold will be donated to Martha Kate's Campaign!
